From a young age, my love for food has been at the heart of my journey. Growing up, I spent countless hours watching my Nonna in the kitchen, captivated by her skill in creating amazing homemade dishes. It was here that I discovered my own passion for food and creativity—plus a deep love for cooking (and, of course, eating!).
As I grew, so did my desire to experiment in the kitchen. Determined to turn my passion into a career, I studied at City College Norwich, where I spent three years developing my skills and knowledge. During my studies, I discovered an undeniable love for pastries and baked goods. Once I fully qualified in 2017, I worked alongside other talented bakers to gain the experience and confidence needed to pursue my dream of opening my own bakery.
In November 2020, despite the challenges of the pandemic, I took the leap and launched Cardarelli’s Cakery, and it has been an incredible journey ever since. From sharing my handmade brownies, cookies, sponges, and specialty traybakes at markets like Creake Abbey Farmers Market and Holt Sunday Market to connecting with my wonderful customers, I’ve been met with amazing support that has allowed me to bring my creations to life. Thank you so much for being part of this journey—it truly means the world to me!
Even as a high school student, my catering teachers always praised my dedication to going the extra mile by making everything from scratch. I fondly remember finishing a food tech class and watching as most of the class gathered around to see how my creation turned out. It was always a special moment for me, as it reflected my love, passion, and skill.
This passion led to me being awarded “The Master Chef 2014” award when I graduated. While these awards were all in good fun, I have to admit, I was proud to receive it, and I still have it to this day.
One day, I dream of transforming a beautiful campervan or horsebox into a mobile hub for Cardarelli’s Cakery, serving hot desserts, drinks, and a few savoury treats. Until then, thank you for being part of this journey and helping make this dream of mine a reality.
